Deaths in AL (alone)

Oh wow, we really may see close to or more than 100 fatalities. And I thought the NC outbreak was bad last week. :(

Alabama Power is reporting more power outages now than we had during the Blizzard of '93; and the updated total of deaths is 53.

From now on till most of us die, we will probably compare every severe weather event to the one on April 27, 2011....Praying for those that lost loved ones, their homes and their businesses....

I worked the smithville, Ms tornado tonite as an EMT/firefighter.. let me tell you, it had at least a quarter to half mile wide path, with very old two and three story brick buildings demolished. a piggly wiggly grocery store now has nothing left but a roof and few twisted steel beams. the high school is pretty much totaled as well.

Looks like the development in South AL is cutting off some of the energy to the Georgia Storms. Still dangerous, but not nearly on the level of what happened in MS and AL.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my family and I are ok. The Arab/Union Grove tornado was less than 1/2 mile from here. I got some footage of it from my yard. I then got called in to work for the disaster team at the hospital. I know there have been 6 fatalities from this tornado and numerous homes destroyed. What I have seen today has changed me. Please pray for this community, the devastation is widespread.
