West-Central AL continues to crank out kidney beans. Nothing making it to the ground tonight it seems thankfully, but very fascinating to see this kind of structure in August.

As it gets dark the LLJ should give a bump in shear. Id watch for a sneaky one. It's absolutely going off with lightning in Blount county.

With how Dixie storms like to be I'd almost count on one sneaky storm tonight.
Makes me nervous I've been through a few night time over performers. Whenever I hear near constant lighting usually that's a sign of strengthening updrafts

Looks like a pair of nasty hail shafts just west of my location in Bham. Thank goodness for my garage....
