Turkey's leader Edrogan has cancelled a planned trip to Israel, and is now saying that Hamas is not a terrorist organization but a group of 'mahajadeen' (holy warriors) defending their land. This is an important point as Turkey has always been reticent to support or promote Muslim or Christian factions because their country comprises of nearly equal parts of both. And they are a well-respected voice among moderate Islams, which adds gravity to this change in plans and position. This bodes ill for the whole situation and greatly raises the chances for a regional conflict emerging.
