Anyone buying into this possible scenario for next week (Dec. 10-11'ish)? The polar jet and sub-tropical jet will converge & trigger a storm system in the GoM. That system will move eastward along the coast. At the same time, deep cold air will be pushing southward along with some strong upper-level vertical motion producing convection. The result will be a significant winter event.

Just telling my kids it was two years ago tomorrow we had a good snow here...
Seems like like was some type of scenario where the subtropical was overrunning a cold air mass.

It’s going to hit almost 60 degrees tomorrow. (That’s good!)

Then we’re going to get our first measurable snowfall of the year on Wednesday morning. (That’s bad!)

I'm liking the look today, hopefully we'll see a nice dusting in N AL. I'd like to walk the Tinsel Trail with some snow on the trees.

Snowing in N MS. It’s changing over way earlier down there than it will here (probably not until midnight or so).
