I’m in central Alabama and although I’m not in the major risk area, it’s extremely muggy here. Starting last night there was a definite atmosphere shift to the grossness.

The 2-hr forecast for the mesoanalysis shows southwest Missouri going over 5000 CAPE just as the storms reach that area. So I'm betting on something here.Don't sleep on the initiation of storms in far SW Missouri either...CAPE surging to at or above 4.5k and low-level lapse rates going above 7 in that area, with over 200 SRH and a ripe environment for the day. Think Springfield and areas around will have to watch out in the next couple of hours.
