Wind shear isn't great though and IIRC it's not really forecasted to be too high. Is there something I'm missing?

that SC south of owensville MO is an absolute monster. disconcerting seeing that at 11am.

Riding right along the boundary with nothing in front of it, wouldn’t be surprised if this kept it up for a while.

Maybe a discrete mode but the low-level shear isn’t that impressive in terms of a supercell tornado threat. Might be more dependent on mesoscale factors to get any sigtors. The hail threat is gonna be legit with a discrete mode and that kind of thermodynamic profile.

RFD gust front is kicking out creating that "dogleg" look on the southern end of the hook. When that happens a tornado is unlikely, at least in the short term. Could be cycling, though. At the very least, plenty of dangerous wind and hail likely in that RFD.
