Wouldn't be surprised to see tomorrow's risk get upgraded to Enhanced across parts of Central MS then another one Saturday for Oklahoma. Sunday could be a doozy too.

3 deaths in Perryton TX per fire chief. Deadliest TX Panhandle tornado in decades. From the damage I’ve seen, looks like a solid candidate for EF3.
The strongest tornado to hit north of Perryton, Texas was a F2 on May 4th, 1950. Another F2 occurred northeast of Perryton on July 3rd, 1967.

That's not what I saw. I lined it up with Google Maps and the couplet appeared to cross the island at the sandy area just west of the Pensacola Dog Beach.

The KMOB radar makes the velocity couplet look a little more east than KEVX. But after further examination I agree that it may have mostly stayed west of Dog beach and over sand, but also looks like it made a hard turn away. Lucky.

Missed it because I was working but things got pretty nuts in the FL panhandle. Multiple TDS’s and a PDS warning near the town of Perry.

ABC news is reporting that 2 of the fatalities in Perryton were in permanent structures and the 3rd may have been outdoors. As bad as the damage was at the trailer park it would be a sliver of good news if the safety plan there led to no additional deaths.

Also, one fatality in Pensacola, FL is being attributed to the tornado there, tree on a home.

Sad day yesterday overall.

And now a tornado warning for the western suburbs of Philly because I guess the mid-Atlantic felt like we were being left out of the party. Mother Nature is channeling her inner Oprah: you get a tornado, you get a tornado, you get a tornado!

The tornado that struck the Point Place community in Toledo, OH yesterday has been preliminarily rated a high-end EF2.

The Monroe tornado was also confirmed as an EF1. I believe this is only the second tornado of the year for MI. We'll see if that low trend continues, sometimes there's a sudden uptick starting late June/early July.
