So far the hail in Walker County doesn’t look to be ping pong ball sized, but there still looks to be plenty of it.
I’m in these in Jefferson County and it’s rough. The lightning is intense.
They just did. They need to expand the Jefferson County warning further south. The hail core is at straddling the edge of the warning.
That’s some of the worst hail I’ve had in a long time. Most of it was pea sized, but some did get up to quarter-ish size from what I could tell. It was falling at a tremendous rate for about a minute.
Yeah it looks like it’s almost turned from going northeast to going southeast. Weird.I thought we were going to get some of that, but the storm stayed south of us. Now I'm watching this storm in Northern Walker and wondering if it may track almost due east based on the polygon.
Shoo!Nasty hail core in the Walker County storm.
Yeah, it has taken a weird storm motion. I was watching it here in Cullman.Yeah it looks like it’s almost turned from going northeast to going southeast. Weird.
It didn’t seem very bad, the hail and lightning were much more noticeable than the wind.Did y'all get a lot of wind in Northern Jefferson County? Wondering whether to take the 5 year-old grandkid to the center of the house (surrounded by trees).
