You made my point in your first sentence. Too much conjecture after, so that's where you lost me.Saints Nation acts like that was the only blown key call in the game and conveniently forget the missed facemask when Goff was scrambling the series before where the Rams settled for a FG. Had the right call been made there the Rams have 1st and goal inside the 2 with Todd Gurley and CJ Anderson as options at the goal line. Convert that and the score is 24-20 Rams.
That means had the right call been made that went against the Saints, they have 1st and goal at the 6 but need a TD not a FG. Maybe they don't convert, or maybe they score a TD on the next play which puts them up 3 and still plenty of time for the Rams to get a game tying FG to force OT.
Maybe the Rams play defense a little differently on the last drive up 4 instead of 3. So many variables. The better team won the game.
