Pretty good tweet on the current situation. It's pretty fluid but some real nasty crap could go down.

Yesterday I wouldn't have believed it. Prigozhin and Putin have been portrayed as friends, and while they had their differences this in just nuts. But nuts is normal in Russian culture so...
Putin has raised the stakes calling for Prigozhin's arrest publicly which he can't back down from now, and that forces Prigozhin's hand. That too is typical of Russian culture but very dangerous if Prigozhin can get and consolidate support of non-Wagner troops in sufficient numbers. There is liking and support oif both of them in the Russian civilian population so whoever looks to be strongest will win against whoever first shows any weakness. We don't want either of these two to win but of the 2 evils Putin is a lot easier for the rest of the world to deal with. Mercenaries only know combat and war, not politics and peace.

Yeah I don't see this being a win for anybody in the west really. It's just chaos and more bloodshed. It's pretty crazy seeing this unfold in real time. Supposedly the Wagner caravan is 2 or 3 hours out from Moscow

There's been a discussion and agreement between Lubashenko and Prigozhin, and Wagner is pulling back. So for now, this part is over and what remains to be seen is who will be running the Russian military.
My thoughts are that it was made clear that Wagner couldn't win this ploy, and that Prigozhin had only this option or death along with any Wagner soldiers who didn't join with Russia. Rather than risk his men he backed down. He's got a lot of Russian 'deserters' in his band who came over because they too didn't like the official Russian military brass.
The next part is wondering how high the window Prigozhin is going to fall out of will be?

Well at least we know now where the window will be- Prigozhin is on the way to Belarus to set up his command center there. When Putin asks Lubashenko to find an open window he will.

Odd that all the usual commercial news sources are quiet for now. Impossible that nothing is happening over there. Putin lost face bigtime yesterday but he's widely loved at home so it will take a lot more than this to topple him. Probably time to study who will succeed Prigozhin and Putin because they can't last forever either.

Wondering if this was a elaborate phys op by the Russian intelligence agency to weed out the non loyalists. Some of it seems very fishy.Served with a Polonium sandwich on white bread

Nah, Putin runs everything. If he wants something done it gets done. Seeing a bit of news now- seems Prigozhin ain't going to be welcome in Russia anymore, at least at official levels. Yet Prigozhin is still holding his "hero" status among the people, very odd.
