Tariffs are a similar act of stupidity by Trump. Tariffs do NOT help the economy. They hurt it by increasing the costs of the item that would've been imported. A US manufacturer isn't going to simply make the product for slightly more than it used to cost. They know the "floor" for the item has been set at whatever it used to cost PLUS, at minimum, the new tariff. Since the good can't be imported for less than that they sure as hell won't sell for less than that.

Additionally, they make exports of those products more expensive as now the domestic price is much higher. It makes those US products less competitive internationally. Now, add in all the tariffs on products that others will use to retaliate.

Tariffs will have an especially nasty impact on Alabama due to our auto manufacturering, steel production, and agricultural products that will be subject to retaliatory measures.

TLDR: Our President is a clownish moron.

But yes, the NRA members and AR-15 owners are the ones with blood on their hands.

On Wednesday, acting FBI deputy director David Bowdich testified during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that former President Barack Obama's Department of Justice forced the FBI to delete over 500,000 fugitives, who had outstanding arrest warrants, from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

"It's my understanding that under federal law fugitives cannot legally purchase or possess guns," Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) began. "We've heard from local law enforcement that the Justice Department has issued a memo that forced the FBI NICS background check database to drop more than 500,000 names of fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants because it was uncertain whether those fugitives had fled across state lines."

"Mr. Bowdich, can you describe why this determination was made by the Justice Department?" Feinstein asked.

“That was a decision that was made under the previous administration,” Bowdich replied. “It was the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel that reviewed the law and believed that it needed to be interpreted so that if someone was a fugitive in a state, there had to be indications that they had crossed state lines.”

National Debt has hit $21 trillion. More than doubled in the last 10 years and Trump has amassed $1 trillion in his first 14 months. Is this what fiscal conservatism looks like?

Let's just pass the buck onto the younger generation.

Former CIA Director John Brennan responded Saturday to President Donald Trump's tweet about the firing of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, calling the President "a disgraced demagogue."

"When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America ... America will triumph over you,"

I think it’s rich that a guy who oversaw the U.S drone program that routinely targeted and assassinated U.S. citizens is pontificating on moral turpitude.

Nevermind I found some info about it. Very sad and terribly unfortunate that 3 of the 4 killed were not intended targets... I don't think it was intentional but a tragic mistake in the war on terrorism.

Let's see how the media handles this. Shooter was confronted and stopped by an armed resource officer in a Maryland school.

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office says it happened at Great Mills High School and that police are on the scene. ABC7's Brad Bell said sources tell him the shooter was a student as were the two victims. Bell says a school resource officer took action to end the threat and authorities confirmed the incident has been contained.

I've become half convinced the pee tape is real. POTUS is clearly a security risk subject to blackmail by foreign entities since an NDA doesn't apply to them and they don't care about attorneys or our legal system.

If only Trump voters had been warned...

Radio silence from the gun grabbers, the insufferable Parkland "activists", and CNN's panel on gun violence. Nothing regarding yesterday's incident. Just as I suspected. It is not about the safety of our kids, it's about pushing forward a radical leftist agenda.

Yesterday was a blueprint on how to defend students from an active shooter and end the threat. Not an assault weapons ban. Not a bump stock ban. Not a magazine capacity ban. None of those things yesterday would've been effective as an armed, trained person with a gun who confronted the shooter nearly instantly.

YouTube now banning videos and accounts that show magazines with more than a 30rd capacity, how to manufacture a firearm (80% lower for instance), how to manufacturer a suppressor, how to make ammunition/reload ammo, etc.

They also now ban any account or video that contains a link to any site that sells firearms or certain firearm accessories like bump stocks, magazines that contain more than 30 rounds, etc. All perfectly legal products.

Im not defending Democrats who think the second amendment should be abolished, but I read on CNN yesterday about the heroic actions of the school resource officer which also included the NRA's position that the "good guy with a gun" stopped the gunman. So you saying there's "nothing regarding yesterday's incident" is entirely false. Both sides were well represented from what I personally read as a casual news observer.
