It appears we have another taste of summer in store for most of us in the south east. Current forecasts show temperatures in the 70s for the next several days then after about a week, more cold fronts will slide in from the NW bringing us back to where we were in late October.

November is occasionally active with severe weather so I'll certainly be on the lookout, but it's also time for our winter weather lovers to come out of hibernation.

Just looked at the upcoming temps for the next few days and was instantly depressed. I just want a season besides "Summer" and "Kinda Summer".

Looks like we torch for a while. MJO/West Pac goes inactive which means background La Nina forcing takes over. I'm not complaining. Should make for a lovely Saturday for tailgating and then the showdown with LSU. Nothing is worse than freezing, packed like sardines in the student section.

Looks like some blocking could be setting up for late Month which could usher in the cold for Thanksgiving weekend and early December. Hopefully it's not anything semi-permanent like it has been on multiple occasions the last few years. Definitely don't need another western drought and I'd like to get a severe event or two in since it looks like this will be a cool-season type of year for Dixie.

I'm quite liking where we seem to be heading moving into December for MBY. We got our monthly dusting back on the 19th. Been a fairly nice month, TBH. Much cooler than the past couple years albeit a tad dry.

Im ready for something to track... Its been quiet in here for too long!

As much as I like watching the weather, I do not mind it being quiet. No worries on the loss of life and property for those who would be affected.
