Post Malone's new album "beerbongs and bentleys" has helped him shatter a record held by the Beetles for over 50 years. He has placed 9 songs in the top 20 versus the Beetles 6...a record that many thought was unbreakable. Another crazy stat...every song from the album has placed in the top 100.

I thought this was like an onion post when I read it, had to look up who this guy was.

I guess I'm turning into an old fogy, but this is the type of stuff that tops charts these days?

He really shot to fame in the last year or two. He seems very popular with the college-aged (this makes me sound old, but I'm not that far removed) as I hear his music everywhere in Tuscaloosa. Not my genre, but there are a few catchy songs....I will admit that.

Never heard of them but Fantastic!

I became aware of Mark O'Connor back in the 70's when I played bluegrass and traveled to festivals and competitions (to watch not compete). He won multiple national championships as a teenager and young man in fiddle, mandolin, and flat pick guitar. He is a true virtuoso. Amazing talent and have seen him several time through the years in stage bands on TV and backup in many music videos. I actually met him at one of the festivals many moons ago... nice guy and extraordinary talent

I was somehow unaware this existed until now, even though the original is one of my favorite songs:

does anybody want to argue about the new weezer album by the way
Black right? It is okay. There was only one song I only halfway liked. I heard they have two more albums in development. Hope they are better.

Yeah I thought it was pretty meh too. A couple of decent songs but pretty pedestrian overall. It's really been about 10 years since they've done anything that's moved the needle for me, which is unfortunate because they were one of my favorite bands before that.
