Request filled. This is going on right as we speak.

Yup that is the stuff nightmares are made of. Let us know if we can do anything for you or your family during or after.

Irma weakens, meanwhile wind fields expand

Rainy and dark here in Tucker. Just a little breezy at current.

Apparently we had a good bit of rain overnight, per the regular low spots in my yard.

Praying these 40 something trees around my house stand tall and proud today.

Getting some storm damage updates across social media. Here are a few that I found interesting.

Also now getting word from Sir Richard Branson about the damage at his island home of Necker Island. He is currently in PR helping plan logistics for recovery in the British Virgin Islands

https://www.virgin.com/richard-branson/recovering-hurricane-irma

I have two friends with homes on St. John (in the US Virgin Islands) that are reporting that the entire island is destroyed. One is reporting that her home is gone (like it never existed) and the other says that their roof is gone and water damage is extensive.

This wind field is not messing around.. The rain let up at about 2 AM, but the winds have remained virtually unchanged. But we are very fortunate to still have power. I watched power flashes occur last night, but they did not affect us. Had it gone out, I would have no form of communication right now (as the cell towers got knocked out).

Also WesL, that situation must be terrible for your friends to be going through right now. It makes me feel like I have comparatively gone through just a small wind storm when I see the damage that occurred in the Caribbean.

Woke up this morning with some big limbs down but nothing crazy. Slept so good last night that I didn't hear anything. These overnight temps are welcome to stick around.

I lost power in Tucker around 1 pm yesterday and am still without power. Lots and lots of tree debris in my neighborhood. It's an old "hood", so LOTS of mature trees.

Thankfully, no damage other than probably losing everything in fridge and frreezers.

Hope you all are safe.

I just got done conducting a local damage survey. Some very impressive stuff. I am still shocked that we did not lose power, especially now after getting out and seeing what happened to some areas. I will upload some of the pictures soon.
