Report just came out that nobody knew Enos was gone until he flat out didn't show up to work one morning... there goes the respect I had for him if he just chickened out like that without even giving notice.

I think Locksley will be a decent fit up here at UMD. Obviously the program is a mess right now and there are much bigger issues than football to be accounted for, but he’s popular in the area and should be able to recruit the area well. Whether he’s actually a good on-the-field coach is another question (his tenure at UNM suggests the answer is probably “no”).

15% is a little misleading it turns out 3 of their players came back with PED in their system of the 20ish that were tested.

Not related to the 2018 college football season, but the UA athletic department is raising student prices from $10 per game to $20 per conference game and $15 for non-conference games. Gotta pay for the stadium butchering...I mean renovations!

Word is a swipe in/out system for 4th quarter loyalty points will be implemented.

Also noticed they tacked on a $25 app fee for Tide Pride waiting list this year. Whose contract are we preparing to pay off?

I applied for Tide Pride when I graduated undergrad. Only 8 more years to go! Only if I knew someone in athletics...

Luckily I still have connections in the graduate school, so I’m able to still go to the games regularly without breaking the bank.

They're also introducing some sort of "loyalty points" system where those who stay for all 4 quarters gets rewarded by being first in line for postseason tickets or something along that avenue.

The fact that something like this has to be enacted with our football team in the midst of one of if not the single most dominant decadal stretch in American sporting history is just absurd. I'd expect something like this at Vanderbilt.

I stay all 4 quarters for 95% of the games I go to, but sometimes it is SO hot when we have those 2:30 kick offs against Arkansas State, I'd prefer to be in AC with multiple bottles of water.

Yeah that's a problem. I really wish they would quit scheduling the annual week 2 cupcake game for 2:30 on ESPN2. I wish Greg Byrne would lobby for those games to be a 6 or later kickoff even if it means we get put on some lesser channel such as the SEC Network or PPV. I was getting a little toasty during Texas A&M back in 2016 and IIRC those temps were in the mid-60s at kickoff (The one day that whole season that actually felt like fall and not an Arizona August day)
