This one was fairly large and very shallow. Chile's history with earthquakes and tsunamis needs no introduction, so this is obviously concerning.

Preliminary 6.8 Mw earthquake off the coast of Chile

They were lucky: for some reason, observed waves were no higher than about half a foot, AFAIK.
