I found this story on Tupelo adding a 16th tornado siren a little unsettling. I personally believe sirens should be the very last alternative when figuring out the weather situation. This article makes it seem like these citizens would have no way to know if a tornado was coming if the sirens didn't sound. That's a very dangerous, false, and outdated message to convey when we have television, internet, and social media that are 100x more reliable than a siren. While adding the siren to extend coverage makes sense, I feel like someone should have mentioned how ignorant it is to rely only on sirens somewhere in that story.

"If I don't hear it, I won't know what to do," business owner Kwanza Smith said. "No matter how bad the wind is getting, to me, it might just be another thunderstorm."

That's what I like to call a future statistic
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

Why the need of so many tornado sirens? We don't even have tornado sirens down here and we had 4 tornado warnings this year. If you don't here it to bad because it should appear on your TV.
