"With the 1st pick in the 2012 NFL draft... the Indianapolis Colts forego Andrew Luck and select Nick Saban of Alabama to be their head coach... Nick Saban respectfully declines saying he already has the best coaching job in the world... the Colts then select Andrew Luck as their 2nd choice... Auburn and Tennessee fans everywhere immediately fall into deep depression and many are seen headed to the nearest tall building or bridge..."

Bama tied the SEC record with 4 first round picks.Could have had 5 with Upshaw, but he'll go early in the second.

If I know every single phone call you've made, I'm able to determine every single person you talk to; I can get a pattern about your life that is very, very intrusive. The real question here is what do they do with this information that they collect that does not have anything to do with al-Qa'ida? ... But this idea that ... we're going to trust the president and vice president of the United States that we're doing the right thing -- don't count me in on that." --then-Senator Joe Biden in 2006

I'm not sure what St. Louis was thinking at the top of the second round. With Hill, Randle, and Jeffreys all on the board they take the kid from Appalachian State. I can live with Jenkins and Pead. Those are decent picks but we needed a wide receiver that could come in a play right away. I dont know much about the guy they got from Montana or wherever he is from but I hope he is good enough to play.
I saw my first wall cloud on March 31, 2006 in Florence, Al around 5:15 p.m.

I may have to vomit after this. I could care less if Saban was the president of the United States.

I think pretty much every Bama senior that was looking to go pro and didn't get drafted agreed to free agent contracts last night.
Jerrell Harris - Atlanta Falcons
I think Harris can be a good NFL player. He was highly rated out of high school and grew as a player at Alabama. Could easily see him playing 7-10 years from now.
Marquis Maze - Pittsburgh Steelers
Can make a career as a return man and 4th or 5th WR. Like Harris, I think he'll stick around for several years. Solid player.
William Vlachos - Tennessee Titans
Measurables killed him and likely kept him from getting drafted. He can start in the NFL.
Alfred McCullough - Baltimore Ravens
Earned his keep as a jack of all trades, able to play 4 of 5 spots along the OL. He may have improved more in his 4 years than any other player at Alabama.
Darius Hanks - Washington Redskins
Alex Watkins - Tennessee Titans
Phelon Jones - Jacksonville Jaguars
Alonzo Lawrence(remember him?) - Detroit Lions

The Titans draft was disappointing - one of the worst that I can remember. 1st round pick WR, and then defense defense and more defense. And instead of going after an OT or OG, they draft a TE with lot of question marks. Yuck. Fisher is gone but was a very Fisher-ish type of draft for them. I see a whole lot of 16-13, 13-10, 9-7 type of losses in the future unfortunately. Ugh
Haven't looked at all the teams in detail, but I think the Browns did really well - they ought to be solid contender within a couple years with plenty of valuable offensive pieces.
And woohoo Chattanooga's BJ Coleman was drafted by Green Bay. Obviously not gonna do anything other than backup Rodgers or mop up in blowouts, but GB is probably one of the best places for a young QB to sit back and learn.
